Ivo Schutte, Deputy Head of Division for South Asia, European External Action Services in HQ visited Nepal Banepa Polytechnic Institute in Banepa, Kavrepalanchok on 21 November and attended a lunch programme at the school. The lunch was prepared and served by hotel management students from the special technical education scholarship programme.  The programme provides scholarship to students from different parts of Nepal, especially from disadvantaged communities. Local employers from Banepa had also attended the programme. Ivo emphasised that the trainee produced by the school should match the market demand.

The programme was also attended by Mr. Khagendra Prasad Adhikari, Vice – Chairperson of CTEVT and Mr. Jeeb Narayan Kafle, Member Secretary of CTEVT alongside representative from the British Council.
