Request for Proposal (RFP)

For

Creation of a LONGITUDINAL DOCUMENTARY FILM to promote employer engagement in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Nepal

The British Council is seeking qualified organizations, and/or firms to develop a LONGITUDINAL DOCUMENTARY FILM for its Project Dakchyata to promote employer engagement in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Nepal as per Annex 2 Terms of Reference (TOR).

The Dakchyata TVET Practical Partnership project, managed by the British Council and funded by the European Union, works with TVET authorities at national/local levels and the private sectors (Agriculture, Construction and Tourism) in Nepal, to support the TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) reform process. The project, managed by the British Council and funded by the European Union, thus requires the services of an organisation for creation of the longitudinal documentary film as detailed in the Terms of Reference.

The purpose and scope of the RFP and supporting documents is to explain in further detail the requirements of the British Council and the procurement process for submitting a tender proposal. Find below key background documents:

Q: Filming locations are yet to be confirmed, but is it possible to list out some of the possible districts so that it will be easy for us to work on the estimated budget.

A: Filming is based on the location of grant projects which are spread. Provide estimate (average figures) based on the ToR.

Q: Have you prepared any design document for the longitudinal documentary film that gives information on the activities that needs to be carried out during the project period and the subject matter to be included in the documentary film.

A: Storyboard is an expected outcome from the film company once onboard. The film will follow grant projects which contributes to specific outcome areas of the project. Each of the grant project has its specific activities and learning curve over the period. Film will focus on different stages of this learning curve.
